Dandelion Crafts

Dandelion Crafts is a community interest company of dementia carers who make sensory dementia products and other handmade gifts. Founded by a former carer Penny, Dandelion crafts CIC began when Penny sought to make beautiful, yet dementia suitable gifts for her own mother. Starting with a blanket one Christmas Penny began making things for her mum Amy to keep her occupied and help her stay calm. Dandelion Crafts evolved to be a haven for carers and former carers where they can make knitted, crocheted, sewn items at their own pace in their own homes, providing relaxation and a focus outside their carer roles and coming together as a team to sell their products as well as helping to beat the isolation and loneliness that many carers experience.
