Rainbow Kingdom encaustic art

Lynnette is an accomplished encaustic art artist with over 20 years of experience. Amazing pictures are painted in pigmented beeswax using heated tools such as an iron and hairdryer. Encaustic art is a 2000 year old art revived with the aid of modern tools. Ancient Greeks used to apply wax with heated charcoal – the word encaustic means “to burn in”. Come to a free demonstration and you will see a detailed picture created in about 2 minutes! Rainbow Kingdom is the main Island supplier for all Encaustic Art materials, and also supplies an interesting range of crystals and fossils.

Rainbow Kingdom runs regular workshops at Arreton Barns for £10 per person, with all materials provided. You even get a discount in the pub! Please call her directly for details.
