Isle of Wight Studio Glass – Award winning & world renowned, relocated to its new studio at the very top of Arreton Barns, above the pond and church in 2013. A family business, with 2nd generation Master Glassmaker / Designer Timothy Harris the studio continues to create one of the world’s great decorative and functional studio glass products.
Founded in 1973 in its original studio, based in St. Lawrence, on the southern coast of the Isle of Wight by Timothy’s father Michael Harris. The studios tradition of excellence is driven by Timothy Harris – QEST Scholar – recognised as one of Britain’s most innovative and prolific glass makers/designers of Studio Glass ranking amongst the best in the world. Timothy continues to develop on imaginative innovative world leading studio glass designs for which he is world renowned, keeping his studio ‘Isle of Wight Studio Glass’ at the forefront of British studio glass, and in doing so continuing the family legacy “In Pursuit of Excellence”. Timothy’s work can be found worldwide in private collections including those of royalty, museums, galleries, and given for presentations.
Many of Timothy’s designs combine ground breaking modern techniques combined with ancient glassmaking skills, including amongst other processes the application of 22ct gold and Sterling silver leaf to the glass, an award winning process for the studio, pioneered by the studio, to this day the studio continues to perfect and adapt this process.

All on the ground floor it has an excellent free to view area where you can watch the team at work, the retail display areas will give you the opportunity to indulge in something of lasting beauty – from simple mementoes of a visit to the studio to unique, investable and bespoke art glass for the serious enthusiast and connoisseur.
