Thomas P Cochran creates handmade, solid Sterling silver jewellery and is one of the latest artisans to join Arreton Barns.
Inspired by the Ocean, the pieces are from a mould of an original shell, found on the beaches of England or Mauritius, sometimes gifts from friends. Using the lost wax method, the pieces are cast in Solid Sterling Silver and gold. Each piece is then hand finished in the workshop.
Thomas P Cochran is a family run business and new design is ongoing, most often on the kitchen table, and recently they have started working with semi- precious stones in the designs. High quality and affordability are important to them and the range goes from the fun, boho look to more glamorous statement pieces.
In this, is Thomas P Cochran’s collection for men, which they are currently expanding. The whale tail bracelet is one of the best sellers, made with either leather for a more elegant look or our popular paracord range; perfect for water lovers.
With two in the family having studied marine science and ecology, they aim to be as environmentally conscious as they can, so the packaging is fabric bags and pouches, any paper or card is from recycled or sustainable sources and displays are from upcycled wood. On the kitchen table for this year are some bigger, bolder pieces, keyrings for men, a range of household gifts and the new English Countryside Collection.
The team at Thomas P Cochran are opening up the workshop doors to give you a chance to create your very own clam ring.
Course dates will be regularly updated on their new workshop website tomsjewelleryworkshop.com and more courses will be added to the selection.
There is no minimum number for a course, so if you’re a couple or just want to do something by yourself you can book.
Courses start at 10:30am and finish around about 2/3pm.
Tea, coffee and snacks are provided but you are free to bring some lunch or nip across to The Dairyman’s Daughter.
